Frequently asked questions

The questions buyers ask most often about bank, NCLT and government auctions in India.

What is a reserve price?

The reserve price is the minimum price set in the auction notice. Bidding starts at or above it; the final sale price is decided by the bidding.

What is EMD?

Earnest Money Deposit is a refundable deposit — usually around 10% of the reserve price — that you must pay before the auction to be eligible to bid. Unsuccessful bidders get it back as per the notice terms.

What does possession status mean?

Physical possession means the institution holds the asset and can hand it over. Symbolic possession means occupants may still be in place and eviction may require legal steps. This materially affects risk and price.

Can I bid on eAuctionHunt?

No. Bidding happens on the official platform named in the notice. We help you find, compare and evaluate listings.

How current are the listings?

Listings are added from published notices. Available source notices require paid access. Always confirm dates against the issuing institution's official notice before acting.
